This article considers the non-aggressive aftermath of an alleged iconoclasm in a residential neighbourhood Kanpur. The ‘iconoclasts’ were recent converts to Christianity who attempting mark their departure from Hinduism by dismantling deity tiles on house. Despite indignation this caused among Hindu neighbours, not much ensued. While lack escalation may be easy explain given local circumstances, pays particular attention how anger denouncer subsided and role her growing knowledge about therein.
